Question Two - [Audio]
"Abel. I have started a project and I need your assistance for it." It was the Judge. He sounded Serious.
"A project?” Its clear enough who he’s speaking to, Abel’s voice is soft and clear enough. “What kind of project?"
"I do not trust the the store's food, so I have started to grow a potato. I got one, and placed it in a pot. But I feel like I did something wrong.". Such as you know, plant a whole potato in the dirt without trying to form slips or anything
"...Is it an entire potato?"
"Of course. I found no needs, so I figured they grew from themselves."
"Luce, no, no they don't," Is sighed back by the ex farmer, the chair he’s seated in squeaks with the shifting of his weight, "Where is your potato, let me show you how to grow them at least."
"It is in the window box I found." His tone showed he was probably frowning.
That just a beat of silence from the larger man. The sound of a book being closed and the scrape of a chair following after that as Abel speaks again. "Where did you find the box?"
"I found it in the store. I left a note saying if it belonged to anyone, they can come and get it back. I installed the box myself." He sounded quite proud but when Abel goes to look at it, he will see it is only be held on to the window by some rope.
Their voices are more distant now, softer due to distance from the book recording them. "You did, a very good job of it. Though it could be a bit more securely fastened on there," Is Abel's response, his voice not giving much away beyond some bemusement. His gait easy enough to hear on the floor of their shared home. "Hopefully if someone does own it, they won't be displeased you took it."
The sound of a window opening.
"There it is. right in the middle so it can have room. I got a big one so the plant can be bigger."
There is another long uncertain pause, Abel's voice shifting to something soothing and parental as he speaks. "Luce, potatoes cannot grow like this- at least not this kind,"
"...So, I did it wrong."
"In a way, if it was a different type of potato it would have been right,"
"I didn't do it right though."
"Its close enough and I can always show you what kind of potatoes could grow in the box,"
"No. I give up. I am never going to try again. You can plant the potatos so we don't get jinxed ones."
"Luce," Is sighed back, there is a faint sound of the floorboard creaking from Abel’s movements. "No, come here, lets go plant the potato outside together, alright?"
"No. I am not a farmer I am going to work on drawing."
"You could help me still-" He sounds somewhat hopeful that Luce might actually take the bait.
"No. I give up. I tried and failed. The end."
"Luce- you can't just give up,"
"Watch me."
That just earns another sigh from the larger man, "Can't you at least try more than once?"
"No. I'm done." The man said sounding very frustrated. "End of story. I failed."
"Its only failing when you give up as soon as you come upon a obstacle," There he is sounding parental again.
"Nope. Done. I tried, I failed, I give up."
Abel still manages to somewhat sound patient, even with Luce's clear frustration. "You're never going to get anywhere if you give up so often,"
"I am not a gardener. I work for the church. You start the potato garden."

[You're getting lectured/agreed with by a bird. Look at your life, look at your choices.]
Re: [voice]
I have been told you put the seed in the ground. Potatoes have no seeds.
Re: [voice]
Err, that's they call the green things that sprout off them. [He has to specify due to the pineapple thing.]
The potato itself is like a seed, but only after it matures enough. Otherwise you're trying to make a baby have other babies.

We have a few gardeners here too. If-if you wanted to try asking them? I'm sure they would be more than willing to give you some advice...
